Annie Myrtle Lewis
Annie Myrtle Lewis was born in Illinois on April 27, 1886 to Daniel Boone Lewis and Ella Ruth Neel, both natives of Kentucky. (1)
According to The History of Mabank Texas, published by The Mabank Sesquicentennial History Book Committee, 1987, Myrtle's father (Boone) brought his wife Ella and their children to Texas in 1891. They left McLeansboro, Illionois and traveled by train to Kemp, Texas where the family settled in Prairieville, and later moved to Mabank when he realized that the train would not come through Prairieville.
Myrtle married Edgar Houston Wade, Sr., son of Daniel Wade and Martha Grizzard, on May 2, 1907 in Mabank, Texas at age 21. (2) Edgar H. Wade, Sr. was born on November 28, 1881 in Morgan County, Alabama. (3)

Myrtle and Edgar Houston had the following children:
Ella Ruth Wade (b. August 18, 1909 in Purcell, Oklahoma; d. January 23, 1982 in Dallas, Texas). (4) She married Ernest Leon DeArment. They had the following child: Ernest Leon, Jr. (b. February 2, 1932 in Dallas, Texas; d. August 31, 1971 in Dallas, Texas. (5) Leon was shot and killed by an assailant. He is buried at Grove Hill Cemetery in Dallas, Texas. (6)
Edgar Houston Wade, Jr. (b. June 15, 1915 in Mabank, Texas; d. September 15, 1994 in Dallas, Texas). (7) He married Tommie Lou Blackstone (b. August 9, 1917 in Big Sandy, Texas; d. March 4, 2009 in Dallas, Texas). Date of Marriage: December 2, 1937. Tommie Lou Blackstone's parents were James Thomas Blackstone and Effie May Hays. Houston and Tommie Lou had the following children: Tommy Houston; Jeanine; and Carolyn. (8)
James Horace Wade (b. November 24, 1920, in Mabank, Texas; d. February 7, 1992, in Dallas, Texas). (7) He married Ennis Catherine Henderson (b. September 11, 1927) on November 15, 1946, in Dallas Texas. Catherine's parents were Henry Lawrence Henderson and Minnie Pearl Potter. Horace and Catherine had the following children: James Lawrence; David Horace; Janis Lynne; and Gary Don. (9)
Myrtle died on February 7, 1958 in Dallas, Texas at age 72 (10) and and two years later Edgar H. Wade, Sr. died on February 24, 1960 at age 79. They are buried next to each other at Grove Hill Cemetery in Dallas, Texas.
